Jewels of Perception – May 1 to October 10, 2026
Upper Gallery · 126 Ingram Street, Duncan · www.cowichangallery.ca
CPAG is delighted to present Richard Roblin, opening on May 1. His style is based on abstraction with the message: be awake to this moment, ground yourself on this earth. But there isn’t a whisper of sentimentality.
About Richard Roblin
Painter Richard Roblin always felt that art was his spiritual path. From childhood, he spent hours in the woods drawing “the wondrous world around me.” As an adult, he expressed his wonder through abstraction, repeating the theme of circles filled with line, precision, color and texture. Every circle is unique, quietly beautiful, full of heart.
His paintings have been collected around the world, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
“Jewels of Perception” — taken from a series of paintings that Richard did — will run May 1 through October 10 in the Upper Gallery.
Richard passed away in 2022, but his widow, Eve, maintains their website as his artwork is still for sale.
